Arcade Fire to release feature-length film from Fly-Lo director Kahlil Joseph

Date
16 July 2015

We’ve already seen astounding interactive music videos, and live Spike Jonze-directed pieces performed and filmed at the YouTube Music Awards, so really a feature-length film is the last of the unchartered territory in Arcade Fire’s commingling of music and visuals.

Directed by Sundance-prize winning Kahlil Joseph, whose hazy, dream-like short films for Flying Lotus and KENZO have received acclaim across the industry, the film is set for release on 24 September. It promises an authentic and magical insight into the making of the band’s album Reflektor, combining footage of a trip to Jamaica, recording sessions in Montreal, an impromptu gig on the first night of Haiti’s Carnival and the full extent of their tour. I for one can’t wait.
