First up in our In Progress speaker profiles, we're wowed by designer Keiichi Matsuda
London based multidisciplinary designer and film maker Keiichi Matsuda has been garnering attention for his experimental and innovative work in recent years and it’s not hard to see why. Blurring the boundaries between virtual and physical worlds, he uses video, architecture and interactive media to change and enhance the ways in which we engage with our environment.
With a string of top-notch awards under his belt and and past projects exhibited at institutions such as New York’s MoMA, and the V&A Museum in London, it’s no wonder he’s in high demand. After his show stopping Prism piece at London Design Festival this year, he’s now working on a number of exciting new commissions and research projects in both London and Tokyo and has recently established Arcade, a new multidisciplinary design studio based at Microsoft’s new creative hub in Shoreditch.
Keiichi will be joining us at our upcoming creative conference, In Progress 2012, delving into the world of data and mixed reality environments. He’ll be presenting his predictions and visions for the future of immersive data transforming our physical cities, uncovering both the problems and exciting opportunities it might bring. We can’t wait to see what his future gazing forecasts.
