Raphael Schoen's cheerfully chaotic posters for a Swiss youth club

Date
28 August 2015

This series of posters from graphic designer Raphael Schoen are cheerful, inventive and simple. Created for JAZ, a youth organisation in Zug, Switzerland, the posters advertise their summer programme using a combination of happy colours and line drawings. Raphael has only just shared the posters online and we’re glad he did. The clunky, inflated lettering feels nostalgic, like an 80s TV show and I love how they’re supported by pared-back scaffolding and bamboo joists. The use of one colour against the white page gives the clusters of type and graphics space to breathe.
