Steer are here to teach the world to code – which is jolly nice
At last week’s LSN Global trend briefing, the Future Laboratory team spoke about Generation I, the current under-10s who have grown up with technology and who expect to be able to hack and reform their products to their own needs. For a large majority of the rest of us, we’re playing catch-up with things like coding, but that’s where initiatives like Steer come in.
Based in London’s Clerkenwell, they’re on a mission to “teach the world to code” which is a bit like teaching the world to sing, only massively productive rather than gratingly annoying. With courses in both front end and back end web development, and plans for iOS programmes in the pipeline, Steer uses expert teaching to bring coding and its possibilities to life.
“Too many excellent ideas are left behind because young start-up founders cannot easily get the education they need to bring them to life,” they say. “We’re changing that.”
We’ve teamed up with Steer to offer It’s Nice That readers 10% off their courses – follow this link to get involved…
