Asger Carlsen

Date

Asger Carlsen must have a bone-dry wit, and a steely nerve to produce a set of work as risque and absurd as he has. His photographs are the photographic equivalent of laser-eye surgery, completely changing the way you see the world, and set to remain with you for the remainder of your years. I’m thinking in particular about his Wrong series, and although I know no-one can function with two, simply built, wooden legs, the confidence in shot is starting to make me believe I can. If you really like you can pick up the whole collection as a real book, published by the superb Mörel Books here in London, and I wouldn’t blame you.
