Save the Keith Haring Mural

Date
10 November 2011

We don’t really go in for petition signing much but this is a cultural cause we don’t mind throwing ourselves behind. In 1984, the brilliant Keith Haring (star of It’s Nice That Issue #6 among other CV highlights!) painted an eye-catching mural on a wall at Collingwood Technical College in inner city Melbourne. Despite protected status, the last 27 years have not been kind to Haring’s handiwork and now a group of art lovers are trying to raise awareness – and money – to make sure the mural is saved.
