It takes some skill to make a documentary about a Westerner working with Indian orphans infected with AIDS that doesn’t seem clumsy or cliche-ridden. It takes even more talent to tell this humbling story in as beautiful a way as Steve Hoover has with his new film Blood Brother. It’s a powerful, difficult subject but if the just-released trailer is anything to go by it’s going to be a gorgeous film, using light and colour as an uplifting backdrop. We can’t wait.
