SXSW Film Festival: The Central Park Effect

When I say “juxta” you say “position”, "juxta"–"position" "juxta"–"position!" Take the sprawling density of the most famous metropolis on earth and make a film about the array of birds who make Central Park their home and you get something that looks really interesting. It’s a study of natural calm amongst the man-made chaos, but more than that the documentary also looks at the twitchers whose lives are structured around the all-important fleeting sightings of our feathered friends. Extra points too becuase the trailer includes author Jonathan Franzen saying “dweeb.”
