It’s Nice That’s Review of the Year 2019
With 2019 drawing to a close, It’s Nice That signs off not only another year of championing creativity, but an entire decade too: Welcome to It’s Nice That’s Review of the Year.
The year is drawing to a close and with that, It’s Nice That signs off not only another year of championing creativity, but an entire decade too. As a result, this 2019 edition of Review of the Year brings together not just the stories that had our audience in a spin during the past 12 months, but also the top 100 articles of the decade.
Reflecting back on a decade’s worth of long-form features, news pieces and work articles exploring the creative craft of practitioners, it’s been a joy to see that – despite the turbulent times we find ourselves in – creative work, creative people and creative ideas are continuing to thrive.
Whether it’s been through finding ways to tackle the climate crisis with innovative concepts, or utilising creative tools from film to animation, UX, UI and illustration to communicate a thoughtful message, the ingenuity of creatives will never fail to impress us. We know we’re not alone in this feeling, and this year’s Review of the Year also sees a group of industry leaders commenting on the creative moments that stopped them in their tracks.
We also couldn’t exist without these creatives who dedicate their working week (and usually some weekend hours too) to creating projects for us and our community to enjoy. With this in mind, we wholeheartedly thank you for not only being our driving force in 2019, but for the past ten years.
We’ll be back in the new year with a new second half to Review of the Year, which will look forward, questioning how we can make this industry stronger, more diverse, and more joyful in the decade to come through a series of opinion pieces and a wealth of creative commissions. But, for now, sign out and get those out-of-offices on. We’ll be back in January to aid you in putting your best creative foot forward in the new year.
