Chris (Simpsons Artist) tackles the meaning of life in his new book

Date
15 November 2017

The Story of Life is a new book from illustrator Chris (Simpsons Artist), out tomorrow (16 November). The book takes readers on a journey from conception and birth, all the way to death and rebirth, all in the illustrator’s surreal and hilarious deadpan style.

Published by Trapeze, a non-fiction imprint of the Orion Publishing Group, the book is a follow up to Motivational Quotes to Help You Be More Positive released back in 2015.

In Chris (Simpsons Artist)’s own words: “This book is a magical journey through life from the beginnings of time to the birth of a child and the adventure that we take on our way to the grave and beyond to the stars. It is a celebration of being human and all of the beautiful things that is in between.”

The illustrator goes on to say that if you like books that are about “why we are here, how we are made, babies shedding their baby legs and growing their child legs… the first kiss, being alone, Monday mornings and the meaning of life” among a whole load of other things, then “this book is for you”.

Owners of the book are also warned that after reading just five pages of it “you will be the main expert of human life and there will be nothing in this world that you will not know”.

Chris (Simpsons Artist) remains anonymous and has become known for his bizarre caricatures that see the world completely differently to regular people. He is a regular contributor to several publications including The Guardian, The Independent, NME and Front magazine.

The Story of Life is released 16 November 2017 and is published by Trapeze. Pre-orders of the book can be made here.
