Aoife Rhatigan

Multidisciplinary artist and creative Aoife Rhatigan, based in Limerick, Ireland, works across fine art and animation. Playfully interweaving traditional drawing, painting and frame-by-frame techniques, her work explores memory, identity, and the subconscious. Her poignant project Stepping On My Own Foot depicts a formless being ascending an endless staircase, bringing together fragments of memory, desire, and mortality into dreamlike rhythm. Influenced by Soviet animation, outsider art and absurdist philosophy, her practice invites introspection through symbolism and surreal narrative, creating an earnest, textural approach and process that feels as effortless as it does wonderfully naive.
