Genie Wu
Genie Wu is a Pasadena-based designer whose practice bridges Taiwanese and American cultural influences. In combining striking imagery – and her eye for art direction – with typography, she toys with typographic expectation, playing into the creative spaces we’d expect and then challenging them. Equally drawing on her multicultural journey, languages, and food cultures, Genie observes everyday life and diverse communities, channelling these experiences into graphic space that are vibrant, playful, and, ultimately, direct. Her visuals reflect both personal heritage and the connections she makes across cultural boundaries.
