Lysander Wong
Lysander Wong, a London-based interdisciplinary animator and artist from Hong Kong, spans stop-motion, craft and print throughout his practice, using the latter to explore the boundaries between self and environment through queer and trans perspectives. Films often blend together paper cutouts, textiles and mixed media to evoke fragility and belonging. Foreign Bodies reflects on the disconnection with one’s body and the horror of unbelonging, using cutout animation to visualise the tension between identity, embodiment and shared human experience.
