Moon Seungsung
Moon Seungsung is an analogue filmmaker and photographer working across Super 8, 16mm and 35mm stills, hand-developing and scanning each frame. Her work explores diasporic memory, intimacy and impermanence through nonlinear storytelling where gesture, silence and texture carry emotional weight, resulting in ever-enticing, vivid scenes of character and composition. Her recent film on the way to jip reflects on Korean-British migration and the layered meanings of “집 (jip)”. Inspired by Varda, Akerman and Kawase, she creates films that linger like memory rather than message.
