Samantha Jensen
Samantha Jensen is a Brooklyn-based artist working across photography and self-portraiture who finds influence in the likes of Gina Pane, Carla Williams and Hannah Wilke. She creates work that reflects fragility, persistence and the evolving terrain of selfhood, as explored in Samantha’s series new holes, which catalogued 90 days of sobriety through 4x5 portraits. In diving into the realities of isolation, loss and resilience her work examines and indeed, platforms the intersections of body, intimacy and environment – treating the human form as both natural and architectural.
