Andrea Marti

London-based photographer Andrea Marti approaches image-making as a form of romantic mythology. Rather than documenting reality, she transforms everyday, ordinary moments into hyper-real, imagined memories. She draws from the visual language of cinema and fashion to explore youth, femininity, desire and nostalgia as emotional landscapes rather than historical subjects. Her body of work subsequently feels fragmented and, importantly, familiar – as if it were remembered rather than captured.
