Edith Robinson

London-based artist Edith Robinson combines analogue photography with philosophical research to explore spiritual iconography in daily life. Their project The Modern Playing Deck looks at the rituals and symbols of their family’s domestic life, reimagining household objects as card suits – hearts as cups, spades as swords, etc, suggesting luck and fate are two sides of the same card. The hand-prints are inspired by Victorian daguerreotypes.
