Remember at school how you used to tease the girl/boy you fancied in a weird pre-adolescenet manifestation of your admiration for them? Well that’s kind of what’s going on with the bonkers, brilliant and at times beautiful Bad Postcards, my new favourite Tumblr (although it should be said this changes on a bi-weekly basis). The site pokes fun at some of the strangest, dullest, most unimaginative postcards from the 1950s, 60s and 70s but it does so out of love, for a bygone era and an upbeat spirit that led people to commit to card the strangest of sights. Waxworks, animals and farming equipment are particularly joyous staples.
