It’s hard not to find yourself tumbling helplessly head over heels with Benjamin Schmuck’s soft-focus style. He somehow applies a magical kind of translucence to otherwise ordinary images in a way that makes you wonder how you didn’t spot that sumptuous baby pink yourself, and get it straight up on Instagram. His new series, Ravitaillé par les Corbeaux brings something a little brighter into the mix too, juxtaposing vibrant pops of colour with the tranquility of his trademark muted backdrops. From purple, turquoise and shocking pink outerwear to an orange balloon masquerading as the sun, how he spots his perfectly framed shots is beyond me, but I’m mighty happy he does.
