Think millinery is a fuddy-duddy industry churning out bowlers and baseball caps? Then take a look at the work of Lara Jensen, whose fantasy-driven headgear is a glorious mish-mash of textures and techniques, utilising jewels, feathers, metal and leather to produce pieces that balance obscenity with aesthetics. Her collection created in tandem with Israeli designer Inbar Spector’s for London Fashion Week is a wonder – like bedazzled gas masks, the feel is both both sweet and sinister, a jewelled fist clasped around a lady’s face. Would we wear one? Probs.
