Design studio Lennarts & De Bruijn adapt and conquer

Newly graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, Max Lennarts and Menno De Bruijn established their studio earlier this summer and have since, in their own words, been “conquering the world… Whether the topic be football, narcissism or a party, [they] try to make their work relevant.” Bold typography and knowing references run through their work, applied to a breadth of contexts and ultimately determined by the content. Max and Menno describe their thinking as flexible, always “going beyond the brief… We believe that the world could use some self-reflection, humour and of course, a little bit more of us.”

As well as their respective graduation projects from the Royal Academy of Art, Max and Menno were commissioned by the school to design the exhibition identity for photography and the exhibition identity and lecture series for the interior architecture and furniture. According to Lennarts and De Bruijn, “it was time for some boldness and balls for this department.”
