Les Graphiquants puts together a lovely bit of art direction for Stéphane Kélian

Date

Not only does Paris-based studio Les Graphiquants have a remarkably fully formed design portfolio to proffer up to curious website snoopers (us); it also excels in art direction and set design, as this great bit of work for shoe designer Stéphane Kélian proves. Les Graphiquants, AKA Romain Rachlin, Maxime Tétard, Cyril Taieb and François Dubois, worked on a vibrant geometrically led poster design for the brand. These shapes then translate into circular and rectangular blocks of solid colour which were leaned against walls and worked into staircases for corresponding photoshoots with models. Then, these in turn were used to compile the AW15 lookbook, which does a gorgeous job of matching up set design with page layouts. It’s extraordinarily coherent, and by the looks of it it’s only one of many arrows to the studio’s bow.
