Strong and fabulous females in Louise Rosenkrands' editorial illustrations

Date
24 August 2015

In the bright and appealing illustrations of Louise Rosenkrands AKA Miss Lotion, a pattern emerges – sassy women. Throughout her editorial commissions for various Danish magazines and UK titles, there are a multitude of female characters all with modest lady bumps protruding proudly. From an adventurous lady in beige on safari, to a raven-haired beauty seductively pouring olive oil, Louise’s depictions capture confident, positive women. Working with both analogue and digital techniques there’s a lightness and fun to Louise’s work, with a palette of soft-textured colours adding to their charm.
