From egg-freezing to Olympic hopefuls - Nicer Tuesdays tickets are ready and set to go!

Date
12 April 2016

Coming together for our next event on 26 April, this month’s Nicer Tuesdays panel is as diverse as they get.

Design agency The Liminal Space will be chatting fertility, following its much-talked-about work for Timeless, a fictitious egg-freezing brand. Using the language and products of a beauty store, the project aimed to prompt more open discussion around this sensitive subject.

Photographer Jane Stockdale will tell the fascinating tale of her project on the Kosovo Olympic team, which will be competing in the Games for the first time this summer. The ongoing series captures the Olympic hopefuls in the lead up to Rio, in Jane’s very own raw and colourful way.

Pentagram partner Naresh Ramchandani is the agency’s official ‘word guy’ and its first ever communications and advertising partner. Having started out as a copywriter, co-founded Karmarama, and with a host of notable campaigns to his name – including Chuck out Your Chintz for IKEA with Chiat/Day – Naresh will be talking about the power of words, and some of his favourites.

In contrast, our final speaker Gavin Lucas will give us his take on the phenomenon of emoji. His exhibition and book, The Story of Emoji explores the widespread use of those little symbols and their place in pictorial communication history, while the show at KK Outlet includes new work by Noma Bar, Mr Bingo, Hey Studio and Crispin Finn.

Tickets are available now for 26 April.
