What’s On: Responsive Eyes

Up now at South London gallery Jacob’s Island, Responsive Eyes is a witty mix of on- and off-screen works by artists (including Mark Titchner, Mike Ruiz and Thomas Lock) united in their exploration of today’s screen-based culture. The show’s aim, curator Francesca Gavin says, is to question current ways of seeing – to delve into the relationship between art and viewer now the screen is as prevalent a medium as the canvas. And it succeeds! Responsive Eyes is a short but effective opportunity to consider the act of looking, now it’s pretty much all we do.
