The world just became a better place today with the news that, for the 99.9% of us who don’t live in the rainforest, Google Maps has just added the Amazon Basin to their Street View archive. Wait, hold up, did they say the Amazon Basin? On Street View? Yup, they did, and that means a ground level tour of the jungle complete with images of communities living in the Rio Negro Reserve and “virtual boat ride” through a flooded forest. For anyone who ever thought this was a good as it gets, rejoice.
