It’s Nice That and Harry’s are partnering to challenge what being “a man” actually means, by hosting a life drawing event that celebrates the diversity of the male form. Makings of a Man will see us bring together top creative talent and the It’s Nice That audience, to champion the qualities that make every man unique.
In our image-obsessed world, we’ve lost sight of the joyous irregularities that make us unique. It’s Nice That and Harry’s are looking for bold subjects to stand proud as a defiant riposte to the Adonis’ we see everyday. We’re inviting you to apply to an open casting call for a chance to be a life model for a day!
If you want to contribute, apply today. It could be you or maybe your brother, uncle, housemate, neighbour or best friend is up for taking part – the main requirement is that you need to be over 18 years old and be comfortable being nude in front of people.
But we’re not just interested in what our models look like – when you apply we want to hear about what you do for a living, what your interests are and why you want to take part in the event.
We will select ten male life models from the casting call, who will be invited to attend an all-day life drawing event in east London where a selection of top creatives will capture you on paper. All models will be paid a fee, but unfortunately we won’t be able to cover travel costs. Each model will be profiled and celebrated on the site along with the drawings made of them on the day.
The closing date for casting is Friday 6 October and for more details on how you can get involved click here. The Makings of a Man drawing event will take place Tuesday 17 October in London – stay tuned for more details soon.
