Our long-running creative talks event Nicer Tuesdays has had a big year. At first continuing online (since April 2020) we welcomed speakers dialling in from across the globe, from LA to Goa, Cairo to Dublin. Then, excitingly, in October we finally returned to London’s Oval Space for our first IRL event in 20 months, and boy was it good to see lots of your lovely faces there in the flesh. As always, all talks are made available to watch for free after the event, and below we’ve pulled together the 25 most-watched talks.

This year’s Nicer Tuesdays line-up has been star-studded, and unsurprisingly some of our most popular talks have featured some of those best known and revered across the creative sector. We heard from Wes Anderson’s go-to prop designer Annie Atkins, who shared her career journey and tips for getting into film prop design. Illustrator and artist Geoff McFetridge told us how one sketch became an important way for him to understand his own practice. And writer and curator Paola Antonelli, senior design curator at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, discussed her work investigating creative responses to crisis.

Highlight talks of the year also included the incredible animation director Siqi Song, who took us through her Oscar-nominated short Sister; and artist and educator Nigel Poor, who spoke about her fascinating book The San Quentin Project. Heck, they’re all great, just press play and enjoy!
