Such is the monumental power contemporary feminism’s fourth wave that it can be easy to forget that across the UK, women continue to live in positions of extreme vulnerability, at risk of domestic violence, sexual exploitation and poverty. Her Stories is changing that with a benefit auction for women, by women, featuring some the UK’s most exciting female artists.

Curated by Juliette Desorgues, the Her Stories art auction will take place on 23rd November at Protein Studios, Shoreditch. Following drinks and a sit down dinner from Ellen Parr of Moro and Art of Dining, entertainment from Sindhu Vee and music from Nadine Artois of Pxssy Palace, Leila De Vos van Steenwijk of Christie’s will led a live art auction. Artworks by 14 contemporary artists will be sold: Rebecca Ackroyd, Roxman Gatt, Eloise Hawser, Celia Hempton, Motoko Ishibashi, Marie Jacotey, Kate McMillan, Alicia Reyes McNamara, Hannah Perry, Joanna Piotrowska, Mary Ramsden, Catherina Silva, Julie Verhoeven, Jala Wahid and Zadie Xa.

All proceeds will be donated to Beyond the Streets, Solace Women’s Aid and Young Women’s Trust. Tickets can be bought here. The artwork can be seen and bids can be made via Paddle8.
