Peter Blake: St Barnabas
Peter Blake has designed a limited edition print for The House of St Barnabas, a charity that runs a members club helping homeless people back into permanent work.
St Barnabas by Peter Blake brings together the artist’s pop culture references and fascination with found ephemera, fused with traditional Christian iconography. It depicts Saint Barnabas in a pop art-style, block colour frame with stencilled lettering showing the initials of the charity.
The print is the third in a series released by the charity’s contemporary art initiative, The Collective, following prints created by The Connor Brothers and David Shrigley. Blake’s contribution, sponsored by Dark Matter Studio, is an archival inkjet print on satin paper in an edition of 100 and costs £250. 100% of proceeds go to the charity.
