St Bride typography and graphic design library is to close its doors, according to reports on social media. The St Bride Foundation was established in 1891 as a centre for Fleet Street’s print trade, and today forms a renowned resource for materials relating to print, typography and graphic design. A post on Wallpaper* magazine’s Instagram reads: “Library of @stbridefoundation will close due to funding cuts. The future of its historic collection – including Eric Gill’s original drawings…British road signs and punches of the famed Caslon Type foundry – remains unknown.”
