The Infinite Mix book documents one of this year’s most talked-about exhibitions

Hayward Publishing has launched The Infinite Mix book, an accompaniment to Hayward Gallery’s major off-site exhibition.

The Infinite Mix: Contemporary Sound and Image has become one of this year’s most talked about exhibitions since opening at London’s The Store in September. Staged in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory, the show features major audio-visual installations by Martin Creed, Jeremy Deller and Cecilia Bengolea, Stan Douglas, Cyprien Gaillard, Rachel Rose and others, and has drawn many a return visitor, including quite a few from the It’s Nice That team.

Designed by Daniel Streat with studio Visual Fields, the 160-page hardback book further investigates the show’s 11 featured artists, and explores how they respond to “the flows of information that traverse contemporary lives”.

It features an introductory essay by Hayward Gallery director Ralph Rugoff, and more in-depth written analyses of the installations by authors JJ Charlesworth, Lilly Lampe, David Norr and Michael Vass.

The exhibition has been extended until 11 December.
