Universal Everything releases more visionary prototypes in Screens of the Future

22 February 2017

Digital art collective and design studio Universal Everything has released 13 more videos as part of its ongoing Screen of the Future series. This round of films follows four shorts first shown at the studio’s solo exhibition Anthropologies at Sheffield Institute of Arts.

The series displays visionary prototypes “based on the emerging technologies of flexible displays, shape-shifting materials and context aware functionality,” says Universal Everything. “The films highlight humanity’s increasingly integrated relationship with technology, serving as product demos of our near future.”

The prototype films display goldfish that can alert their owner they need feeding, digitally patterned wooly hats, manipulated pillars changing in form and colour, clothing with chameleon changing ability and many more.
