Vice magazine is to redesign next year, introducing an increased focus on culture and new columns looking at “sex, finance, and much more,” according to editor-in-chief Ellis Jones. The redesign coincides with the magazine’s 21st birthday, and 2016 will also see the publication launch its own cable channel, Viceland. “I think we ship out a great issue each month, but there’s always room for growth, right?” says Ellis. “Our digital channels will also become increasingly involved, with space carved out for them to discuss the latest in music, science, technology, women’s issues, and more. Finally, we’ll overhaul the magazine’s overall look and feel.”
The magazine will be on hiatus for the first two months of 2016 while the redesign takes place, with the relaunched magazine debuting in March 2016.
