New York Fashion Week has been rebranded by Mother New York

New York Fashion Week has been rebranded, according to The New York Times, with the company that owns the venue and administers the main show schedule WME-IMG having implemented a new look.

WME-IMG’s new logo is typographically led, stacking the four letters on top of one another in elegant black and white. It follows a new orange and blue logo which was unveiled by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, for the rest of the NYFW schedule, a few weeks ago (somewhat confusingly). The CFDA’s redesign was met with controversy, owing to its using the colour palette of the New York Knicks basketball team.

How the two logos will succeed in clarifying the difference between the main shows and the rest of the event remains to be seen.
