Eugenia Er

Singapore-based designer Eugenia Er investigates the friction between ethnicity, spoken language and cultural identity through practice-based experimentation. In her project Script Hybridity, she explores diasporic Chinese experiences by merging Chinese and Latin scripts into a bi-directional visual language. Tested through written poetry across analogue and digital mediums, Eugenia’s resulting body of work offers a rigorous, non-linear framework for cultural expression that is as tactile as it is meticulous.
