Ryan Scott

Ryan Scott is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer exploring sport history and community dynamics through an editorial lens. In his thesis project Art-Student-Athlete, the Rhode Island School of Design graduate investigates the history of basketball at his university, questioning the binary between arts and athletics. Combining archival research with hands-on, analogue techniques – such as screen-printed covers, woodblock endpapers and shoelace tassels – Ryan’s series features hand-bound hardcover books that celebrate found community.
