Tasty record sleeves from Barcelona's own Arnau Pi

Date
8 January 2015

Just before Christmas an excitable Jane Stockdale came bounding into the studio with even more energy than usual to tell us about a graphic designer she’d just met in Barcelona. We hastened to check out his website, flicked through a bunch of projects and quickly realised that Jane’s enthusiasm was totally justified – Arnau is indeed a man of many talents.

He’s a full-timer at Barcelona’s famous Vasava studio, but by night he busies himself producing sensational record sleeves for indie record label like Hivern Discs and Young Turks. Pictured are a couple of recent sleeves he’s put together for Silent Ascent and Univers that have a retro-futuristic charm and a hand-made aesthetic that’s instantly appealing.
