A magazine that tells stories of life, from everywhere and anywhere

We covered the first issue of Latvia-based “bookazine” Benji Knewman around this time last year, and now in its third issue the magazine, edited by its namesake, has continued its theme of “life that you can read” through features covering the search for good taste, failure and fantasy palaces. Benji Knewman is bilingual “with a side of Russian,” it is bound with an open spine meaning it’ll lie flat when reading, creating space to really enjoy each chapter, the introductions to which include “…where we get personal,” “…which is the longest and deals with freedom” and “in which naked is good.” With content on such a broad spectrum, the design had to be clear and cohesive and that it is. Combined with great illustration and photography commissions, it makes for an incredibly rich magazine that in its physicality and contents feels far more timeless than most periodicals.
