A closer look at fashion photographer Brett Lloyd

Date
29 November 2016

Living in London (via Yorkshire, where he grew up), Brett Lloyd has been one of the fashion’s industries most repeated names since his mid-20s when he started out shooting for Dazed and i-D.

In the eight or so years since, the photographer has snapped his way into the pages of the biggest editorial tomes in the world. AnOther, Vogue Hommes Japan, GQ, Ponystep, V, T, Dust: you name them, he’s shot for them. The same story underlines his commercial work, which has springboarded Brett from brand to brand, with recent work including Stüssy, Marginal, Jacquemus, Louis Vuitton denim, Alexander McQueen and Hugo Boss.

Brett’s work is punctuated by recognisable faces. Often bony, always beautiful, his ever-rotating roster of limber-limbed, perma-young boys and girls defines his images as much as his often stark (but never cold) aesthetic.
