Danish designer Casper Heijkenskjöld's rather wonderful design portfolio

Date
29 September 2014

It’s not immediately easy to get a handle on Casper Heijkenskjöld’s portfolio, but right from the off you realise you’re in the presence of an impressive creative mind. The Copenhagen-based designer and art director worked for a time for Sagmeister in New York, and seems to have brought the Austrian’s taste for pushing boundaries to his own studio which he set up in 2011.

He says he likes to create work that is provocative and stands out, and this certainly seems true when looking through his recent work. We were particularly drawn to these posters for Klubb Smuts in Sweden where the typography is inspired by dancing next to a massive speaker, and to these collages for SIFF which are just plain bizarre (in a really good way).

“I always encourage my clients to be bold, to take risks, to catch people’s attention and to be remembered,” Casper says, and it seems like smart clients will heed his advice.
