Poppy, tongue-in-cheek illustrations from Dan Woodger

—
Date
12 April 2016

London-based Dan Woodger’s colourful, cartoonish illustrations are just the thing to cheer up a grey day. We last featured him back in 2014 and since then his portfolio has exploded with commissions from a list of high profile clients. From editorial to more commercial projects, Dan has worked with The New York Times, Thomas Cook, Heineken, The Washington Post, Bloomberg Businessweek among many others.

His bright-eyed characters are expressive and manage to convey sarcasm, lust and anger all in a few lines. Despite the naive colour palette there’s wit and humour in each of Dan’s illustrations and this poppy approach allows him to play with a range of topics including job seeking, sociological experiments and westernised shopping malls in Beijing.
