There's a great line-up for the Internet Age Media Weekend in Barcelona
We’ve long trumpeted the exciting, eclectic creative scene in Barcelona and now a new event talking place in March will harness this energy with an array of international speakers. The Internet Age Media, or IAM Weekend, promises to connect “the ecosystem that is shaping the future of design, fashion, technology, visual arts and music, from a media perspective.”
It’s an admirably ambitious mission and one which sets this event apart from many of the others on the creative conference calendar. This year’s theme is evolution, “exploring questions about media fragmentation, content curation and the rise of niche communication” and the speakers include Booooooom’s Jeff Hamada, NOWNESS’ Anne Bourgeois-Vignon, Offscreen’s Kai Brach and our very own Alex Bec. They’re joined on the programme by the likes of Filip Visnjic of the Creative Applications Network, Katie Dreke, global brand director, advanced concepts at Nike, and Julius Wiedemann, director of digital publications at Taschen.
The 300 delegates will be able to enjoy talks, workshops, masterclasses, networking opportunities, roundtable dinners and outdoor events over the three days, which aims to initiate ongoing conversations between the key players.
The IAM Weekend runs from 20 – 22 March and tickets are available now – visit the IAM website for more information and to book. It’s Nice That readers can get Eur 100 off the normal ticket price; use the code 1TSN1C3TH4T before 15 February to take advantage of the discount.
