We check in with Leslie David, the busiest woman in graphic design

Date
1 July 2015

Leslie David might be one of the busiest women working in her industry. We last checked in with her six months ago, to swoon over the identity and packaging her studio had created for Glossier, and a typeface which looked to be blowing in the breeze, among other things, but this week she’s back with no fewer than three new projects. Three! She never stops.

There’s more type-focused work in the form of a dreamy, almost holographic font which was created for the April issue of Double magazine. There’s the logo, signage, menu and website the studio made for Brasserie Barbès, a Paris-based restaurant and bar. Plus the identity and website the studio put together for Stéréokids, a new music festival for kids. There are more rainbow gradients, more illustrated elements, more playful and fine-tuned signage and more delicious printed matter. In short, Leslie’s studio is doing more of exactly what it’s so fantastic at. Long may she continue to supply us with beautiful, thoughtful and fun graphic design at six-monthly intervals.
