Luca Perrin's photographs focus on the details of architecture

Date

Every once in a while it’s worth having a good old stare at the architecture around us. Often we simply stop noticing buildings because they’re so good at doing what they’re supposed to do; which is a shame because as well as functionality, there’s an overlooked beauty within those structures we can all appreciate.

Luca Perrin’s photography does exactly this by focusing only on parts of a building or structure as opposed to the design as a whole. This means we’re able to see the elegance in the individual elements and details, which is difficult to do in real life when we’re presented with the entire façade.

Currently studying at the School of Applied Arts in Vevey, Switzerland, Luca’s images are clean and sharp with the symmetry, angles and sublime curves all working together seamlessly in wonderful hues of icy blues and pebble greys. With an already defined style, I’m excited to see Luca’s future projects and how he develops as a photographer.
