Discover the wild side of watercolour in Marcel George’s illustrations

—
Date
22 July 2014

Scrolling through Marcel George’s hand-painted watercolour illustrations is like going on safari. Lipsticks hiding behind palm fronds, flamingos stalking around sunglasses, the Lacoste crocodile roaring at trainers.

This Brighton University graduate’s fashion portraits bring claws back to the catwalk; his models are more tiger than tabby, striding through an exotic landscape. They exude a timeless glamour, as do his paintings of watches for PORT magazine, which would have suited none other than Don Draper’s dressing table.

Welcome to the jungle.
