Obscure and minimal fashion photography from New York-based Paul Jung

Date
4 August 2015

Paul Jung’s sleek and obscure photographs are incredibly intriguing. His style of fashion photography is minimal and pared back, where the drape and silhouette of fabrics are the focus rather than an elaborate narrative. The monochromatic palette enhances this, allowing the shapes of overlapping limbs to work with the clothes rather than interrupt them. The mix of stretching models across grey backgrounds and beautiful crops of cuffs and lapels creates an irresistible ambiguity.
