The mockumentary has become a well-explored genre in the worlds of film and television, thanks largely to Ricky Gervais and The Office and films like Spinal Tap and Best in Show but most attempts to harness it for advertising have been knuckle-chewingly excruciating. Now though Real Impact Productions have produced this series of short films for Douglas & Gordon, purporting to be a fly-on-the-wall exposé of an estate agents office (the rather brave premise being that other agents are like this, Douglas & Gordon aren’t.)
