Seb Leon: The Golden Horns

Date
9 January 2012

We were wowed by this sculpture from New York-based French artist Seb Leon – and then we found out what it actually was and the wow factor cranked up to 11. It’s part of what will be the world’s tallest sound sculpture at the NEF tower in Istanbul, built into the very fabric of the high-rise and piping its idiosyncratic sounds up to a site-specific listening post on the top floor. The metallic structure has an organic feel that mirrors the way, when full, a building becomes a living, breathing organism. Super-stylish and super ambitious, Seb is clearly hitting the high notes.
