The ennui-infused images of Joyce Sze NG

You know a photographer is good when they manage to make a juice box look mysterious — no offence to Vita Coco, whose electrolyte-rich coconut water has kept us hydrated during the most challenging hangovers. But in a collaboration with the coconut water brand and much hyped London designer Grace Wales Bonner London-based fashion photographer Joyce Sze NG has managed to do just that.

Joyce’s pictures have filled pages in fashion magazines Wonderland, A Nice Magazine, El Pais, Buffalo zine, Man About Town, Marfa Journal and the latest issues of both Gut magazine and Mushpit. Largely portraits, the photographer’s work is filled with a “who me?” ennui which amplifies the striking appearance of many of her subjects. Joyce, who is also a sometime-stylist, is responsible for the brilliant casting behind London designer Grace Wales Bonner’s campaigns.
